A Great Gift – Scarves

Scarves made a comeback a few years ago. When I was little, I just remember old ladies wearing silk scarves with brooches. Not quite the case any more. Scarves make the best accessory. They can add visual interest, pops of color, and a cool twist to any ensemble.

I had been wanting a chunky knit scarf this season, and I found the perfect one at Banana Republic Factory Store. Perfect for a cool day here in Georgia.

Minty Scarf Accessory Plus New Way to Tie a Scarf

I fell in love with this scarf as soon as I saw it in the Gap. It’s oh so soft and the color was just the perfect mint in my book. (And I had 40% off, so it made the price even better!)

Scarves have become the perfect go-to accessory the last few years. Need a pop of color? Add a scarf. Want to mix in a pattern to something plain? Add a scarf. Want to keep your neck warm? Add a scarf. 🙂

And drumroll please…my first video on the blog! I found this great pin on how to tie a scarf, but it was an illustration, so I thought I would let you see how to tie it instead of having to figure out an illustration. You’re welcome. It’s so easy once you figure it out! Let me know what you think!

Leopard Scarf and Boots – Finally!

I love wearing boots. Love. It. I am a huge Frye fan, and I love being able to wear my favorite boots. Georgia has still been pretty warm, and I have to admit when I wore this, I was pretty much sweating in the afternoon (Boo!). But, it’s mid-October, people! It’s time to wear some boots. And a scarf!

I bought this scarf last year at Von Maur. I have worn it so many ways, I can’t even count. With colored denim, with skirts, with black, with cobalt blue, and the list goes on. I was always hesitant on wearing brown and black together. Why? I don’t know. I’m just weird that way I guess. So I opted for a cream sweater so I could wear my brown denim.

(Please excuse the massive cheese on my face…the hubs was making me laugh!)

Four Ways for a Fall Scarf

fall_scarf

I love wearing scarves year round, but I thought my gold sweater and brown scarf was my first step into fall this season. But when picking out a scarf in the morning, I always mess with how I want to wear it. Do you do the same thing? Do you feel my pain standing in front of the mirror messing with a scarf when you need to get out the door? Well, these are my four go-to ways to wear a scarf.
