We are going on a cruise soon and I was on the hunt for two things – white shorts and dresses I could just throw on and go. Well, technically I guess dresses plural would be wanted more than one 🙂
When I got the Old Navy 40% off with your card email on Friday, I had to go check out their selection. Sometimes it is hit or miss for me there, so I was hoping this trip would be a big hit.
This midi floral dress is a big reason I wanted to go into the store instead of just ordering online. The top looked like it may be on the tighter side with the type of fabric and construction. I loved it on…but there definitely is no stretch. Luckily with the adjustable straps, I could lengthen them and make the top loosen up on me. Please don’t mind the socks…y’all know how Old Navy dressing rooms can be 😉 (Wearing a size small)
A great back detail for this jersey-knit dress. It’s a fit and flare…and if you follow the blog at all, you know that’s my favorite fit. The reviews online for this dress say the arm holes are huge. Uh, not they aren’t. I have on a small and it fit me perfectly fine. This dress is so soft! Would even be good as a bathing suit cover up. (Wearing a size small)
I gravitated toward this dress for the super cute print. This printed pintuck dress was just fun, and the pin tucks at the top give it a little unexpected detail. (Wearing a size small)
This striped rib-knit swing dress is ridiculously comfortable. And it’s exactly what I was looking for – something super easy to throw on and go. The navy and white stripes are even nautical for the trip. (Wearing a size small)
My white shorts from last year shrunk literally two sizes after I put them in the wash…so I was on the hunt for a new pair. I really don’t like to wear shorts, but I have a couple of cute tops that look so good with white shorts. I like the 5″ inseam on these; I’m not one to want to wear dazey dukes. (Wearing a size 6)
I love the off the shoulder look, but know I probably won’t wear that style of shirt a ton. That’s one reason to love Old Navy…wearing trends at an affordable price. I did do an arm test in the dressing room…moving my arms up and down, stretching my arms out to the side, etc. The top did a great job of staying in place. A similar one is online. (Wearing a size small)
I did see a ton of cute tops and accessories. I highly suggest making a trip to your local Old Navy. You can always find stuff on sale!
I love Henri Bendel. The jewelry, the handbags, the huge mugs, the travel gear…everything is so well made. Well, it’s time to snag some great items during their Semi-Annual Sale! If you are like me and try to shop some Christmas items early, I may go ahead and pick up a few things for my momma!
I have this in cobalt blue, which they are sold out of, but this is a great bracelet that gives you the layered look in one piece.
I have this and wear it constantly! It’s a great layering bracelet.
I wear this all the time! You can wear it as pictured above or flip it so the colored side is on top for more of a pop.
My mom has these and they are gorgeous on!
What a great layering necklace! And you can’t beat this price.
Again, I wear this ALL the time. I have it in this blue and in white. There are still a lot of cute colors left. To me, this is a must have bracelet.
They come out with different color combinations of these all the time. One year, I got my mom these for Christmas, and she loves them. Perfect for traveling.
This is the perfect beach bag. It’s huge! It even has the water resistant coated lining.
There are SO many great things on sale…it’s worth your while to take a few minutes to look around. Happy shopping, fashionistas!
If you follow me on Instagram, you noticed this super fun dress last week! I love the print! I noticed today that it’s on super sale for $66.90 if you wanted to get one for yourself 🙂 Click here! They also have it in two solid colors and another print. If you travel a lot, J.McLaughlin fabrics are perfect as they never wrinkle for me. Perfect for when you are on the go!
And I can’t get enough of these Schutz wedges I bought when I was in NYC. I didn’t realize how much I needed white shoes in my closet! I can’t seem to find them online, but that caged look comes in many different colors…love these in natural.
Who doesn’t love a good Anthro sale?! This girl certainly does!! When I got the email this morning, and saw some of my favorite recent dresses on super sale, I just had to share!
Far Left: Maeve Elysian Maxi Dress – $49.95 (multiple colors)
Left: Mia Dress – $39.95
Right: Azores Halter Dress – $49.95 (two color options)
Far Right: Maeve Crosswise Dress – $49.95
And I can’t forget about the dotted linen dress I posted a couple of weeks back:
Happy shopping, my fellow fashionistas!!
I’m a sucker for a good sale, especially on my favorite workout gear! Until Monday, lucy is having an extra 30% off of sale items. Sale on top of sale. Just my type of bargain!
Lucy doesn’t have a ton of retail locations, but I’m fortunate enough to have two in the ATL area – and one in Chicago at Water Tower, where I was last weekend. Basically, the whole store was on sale! Here’s some of my great finds.
I own quite a few Crossback Tanks. It’s one of their staple sports bras, and they typically have it great solids and prints every season. It has removable bra cups, and I feel it is a moderately supportive bra. The pants I have on I’ve had for a while. They are the Hatha style, which is a mid rise pant.
I’ve also fallen in love with lucy’s pullovers. This Track Goddess Half Zip is very similar to another style, and I just loved the pink color. Their pullovers do a great job of wicking away sweat. It has thumb holes, too.
I love color in my everyday wardrobe…and in my gym wear. I love these new blue Ultimate X-Training Capris! You can see the rise on these is decently high, which I like. I don’t like my workout pants cut to low. This Track Goddess Long Sleeve shirt just had to come with me, too! I love the cutout in the back, and I liked the length on me. I don’t like shirts that hit too high on my hips.
Interesting sports bras always capture my eye. I love the back of the Sculpting Tank. The back is just so different – not like any sports bras. The support is moderate to light, as I definitely would not go running in this. Loved pairing it with the Track Goddess Tight. I can’t even tell you how soft these leggings are! They are like wearing pajama pants. I love the feel of them!! Also, there is a hidden inside tie to give you some extra support.
I don’t just love buying workout clothes…I actually do workout!! 🙂 I love feeling good while I workout, and I love the lucy brand. Don’t forget, an EXTRA 30% off sale items until Monday!
I own a few of J. Crew’s Tippi sweaters. They come in such fabulous colors – and to me, they aren’t too heavy or too thin. The perfect combo. Not to mention they easily go over a button-up shirt – a trend I have been loving for the past two years.
I like to add a Tippi to my collection when they go on sale. I’ve always seemed to score them when sale items are an additional 30% off, too (yay me!). And that’s what happened a few weeks ago. I have zero sweaters this color, so it needed to be added to my collection (maybe I get my needs and wants confused…ha!).
Since sale items were an additional percentage off, I thought I would try on these cords to see how they fit. Sometimes words like “matchstick” scare me off a little, since by no means is my body type a stick of any sorts. But, I tried them on in my typical jean size, and they fit great. And I love the green color.
What J. Crew deals have you scored lately? Do you find it better shopping in the stores or online for their deals?
