I know I’ve been a little MIA, but we were on a much needed family vacation in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. It’s crazy to think my family and I have been going there since 2000. 16 years?! Can that even be possible? My daughter’s first trek was when she was only four months old (yes, we were the crazy parents to take our four-month old on a plane…we lived in Illinois then). So mix being in the south and Lilly Pulitzer (and Jack Rogers)…you have a great vacation outfit. And not to mention super comfortable.
I typically don’t wear white unless I have a spray tan, which you can tell here that I definitely have one. I have a love-hate relationship with shorts, so same goes for wearing those unless my legs have some color. But the print on these and the fabric made them a must have in my book. Elastic waist…yes please! And the scallop edges are such a fun detail. The tube top stays in place, so I was never fidgeting with it at all…even on the windy Eco Dolphin tour (isn’t my son such a cutie patootie?!).
Top – Lilly Pulitzer Rilo Tube; Shorts – Lilly Pulitzer Dahlia in Shimmy Shimmy; Sunnies – Louis Vuitton (old); Sandals – Jack Rodgers Lauren (on sale!); Purse – kate spade (old); Tory Burch FitBit holder (on sale in silver!)
Wearing a jumpsuit is a first for me. I’ve tried numerous ones on, but they never seem to fit right. I don’t consider my torso to be longer than normal, but many make me feel that way. And that feeling is super uncomfortable. But I love Jude Connally, so I had hopes for this jumpsuit…the print isn’t too loud and the fabric is fantastic. I thought it just needed a pop of color with a belt and shoe. I tried it on and loved it immediately! Not quite easy to go to the bathroom…but no one said fashion is functional sometimes 🙂
Also, these Henri Bendel bracelets were a birthday present from my momma. I absolutely love them. I knew I could wear white all summer (they come in many different colors). I’ve had them for a few weeks, and I definitely have the arm party twice a week! Layering bracelets is such an easy way to have fun with accessories.
Jumpsuit – Jude Connally Edie; Belt – The Limited (old); Shoes – Charles by Charles David (old but similar here); Earrings – Stella & Dot (retired); Henri Bendel Bracelets – Enamel Hinged Cuff, Southhampton Leather; Cote D’Azure Charm Cuff
I love how feminine this dress is. I own maybe one other midi dress, so I was hesitant to try this on. But, you always have to step outside of your fashion box sometimes. I love prints, and this print is bold yet neutral. Does that even make any sense?! 🙂 As soon as I tried this on, felt the wonderful fabric, did a couple of twirls, saw the ridiculous sale price, I decided it needed to come home with me. (Y’all know I’m a sucker for a ridic sale!) Even with a midi, I wanted to keep my legs looking long, so I paired it with a neutral shoe.
Happy Monday, everyone!
This dress’s print just makes me happy. Who doesn’t love roses?! And who isn’t excited that I can wear this sleeveless dress outside?! With no coat on. In April. This is why I heart living in the south. Here’s to putting away the coats until next November!
I recently got my seventh Stitch Fix in the mail. I love when that cute box comes from the UPS man. It just makes my day 🙂
I’ve had the same stylist for the last few stitches, which ironically enough her name is Emily, too. I had asked her for some cute print dresses, and this is one that came! Cute print – check. Appropriate for work – check. Comfortable fabric – check.
I’ve had a few jewelry pieces in my fixes that I haven’t loved…until now! I love this gold necklace. I think I’ve worn it four or five times already, and it was only $32. Fantastic!
Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? It’s so much fun! I’ve been sent some great things that I normally wouldn’t have picked out myself. I love seeing what others think I would like and would look good on me. The easiest part? If you don’t like it, simply send it back. Easy peasy. Click here to see what it’s about!
Uh, excuse me, little Frenchie. You’re in my shot. Like most Frenchies, she doesn’t care at all!

The other night I had to watch Nashville on ABC Demand, which subjects you to commercials. Ugh. The commercial I kept seeing was for JC Penney’s spring looks. And I have to admit it made me want to visit my local store and check some things out. There are tons of gorgeous prints that caught my eye, and after I looked online, the prices are ridiculously affordable. Here’s some things I would love to go try on!
Worthington Colorblock Tee
Worthington Striped Shift Dress
Worthington V Neck Print Fit and Flare Dress
Bisou Bisou Floral Print Bodycon Dress
The added bonus? Everything is on sale! Have you shopped at JC Penney lately?
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and got to spend it with your special someone.
Y’all know I love to get dressed up – and what better excuse than Valentine’s dinner. We celebrated in Highlands, NC, and let me tell you how chilly it was! So freakin’ cold! Literally the wind was howling. I really wanted to wear this red and pink dress, but I would have froze. So, luckily I bought this awesome DVF wrap dress on super sale at a great boutique, Rosenthal’s, on Saturday.
This dress immediately caught my eye. Just look at the print. It’s like a little optic illusion. And all of the colors at the bottom – just gorgeous. DVF wrap dresses are iconic. It’s fits wonderfully, but I definitely will have to wear a cami underneath to make it work appropriate. Love when I find dresses like this at 75% off…don’t hate on my knack on finding good deals 🙂
I have an obsession with Ted. Ted Baker that is. Not the stuffed bear with the wicked Boston accent 🙂 I find his dresses to be so feminine and playful. And this dress is no exception.
I had my eye on it for a long time at Von Maur. And I watched. And I watched some more … until it was on its second mark down. SCORE! Gotta love the sales at Von Maur! I love the Peter Pan collar in the front and the back, and not to mention this great print. My kids were spinning me around trying to find all of the birds on it. It’s such a wonderful mix of color. Ted does it again.
My mom picked up these gorgeous little mint earrings for me for Christmas. I love that my hair is slightly long enough to pull back so I can start to show off my earrings! I also picked up this new Raegan cuff from Kendra Scott. Mint is one of my favorite colors, so I know this bracelet will be on heavy rotation, especially since it’s small and a good size for layering.
Dress – Ted Baker Eponi Pretty Trees; Tights – The Limited (old); Booties – Vince Camuto (old); Earrings – ?? Christmas present; Mint Cuff – Kendra Scott Raegan; Gold Cuff – Henri Bendel; Watch – Rolex

I have been on a maxi kick lately, especially if I can wear them to work! I love the fact I can dress casual to work. I had a long 7.5 years of dressing corporate five days a week. Yuck. Let’s not do that again. My jeans would be mad at me.
My hubby actually picked this dress out. I walked right by it, and he pulled it off the rack and said that I had to try it on. Don’t you love when your guy thinks you would look beautiful in something? Makes me feel so good.
And he was right. This was a beautiful print – look at the minty plus blush plus green plus pops of blue in the butterflies. ❤ And I didn’t have to wear a heel/wedge with it! I’m telling you. At 5’8″ tall, it’s amazing how long some maxis are on me. Love when they hit just right.
And who doesn’t love an Anthro sale?! I know I do! Check out the Maravilla Maxi dress on sale right now.
