Finally got to wear this adorable dress when I had a client meeting…and I bought it the beginning of last summer on sale. It’s Ted Baker. Every TB dress I own, I always feel so confident and this one is no exception. The soft fabric, the feminine fit, the cute details. It all just works. And who doesn’t want another staple black dress in their closet?!
Dress – Ted Baker London Embroidered Collar Fit & Flare (here on super sale in pink); Shoes – Christian Louboutin Simple Pump; Earrings and Ring – Lagos (similar ring); Bracelet – Handmade with antique Chanel button
The second I saw this maxi, I knew I had to try it on. I love a good maxi dress, especially one that I can wear to work too! This print is so pretty…mix of different blues, oranges, greens…with pops of white. It’s actually polyester, but feels silky. But that also means there is zero stretch, which is not ideal, but it has a beautiful flow to it when you walk. It’s almost sold out online in the white version, but they have a lot of the blue color. Banana always has sales…so if you just watch, I’m sure you can score this for 40% off or more. I have a Banana card and got it for 50% off and used rewards. 🙂 And I scored tons of compliments when I wore it – an added bonus!
Dress – Banana Republic Bold Floral Maxi; Shoes – Coach Rosemary Floral Rivets (last season, but just scored at the Rack), Jacket – Big Star (old, but similar); Watch – Rolex; Tory Burch Fitbit bracelet; Lagos (old) and David Yurman bracelets; Earrings – Stella & Dot (old); Ring – Lagos
I love color, but I also love having a few cute little black dresses in my closet too. This one has been hanging in my closet for three years…I know, I know. What was I waiting for?! I guess I was waiting for this adorable kate spade clutch to come along to wear with it. 🙂
This adorable Ooh La La makeup crossbody was just on the kate spade surprise sale. I typically don’t buy cutesy purses, but I loved the simple design – and I love makeup – and the price was right. $75! Couldn’t pass it up!
It was great celebrating Valentine’s Day a few days early with the hubs. Last Valentine’s Day was not the best for us, so this year we really celebrated us and our love for each other ❤
Hope everyone out there has someone to love today!
If you’ve followed my blog at all, you can probably guess what brand this dress is…yep! Ted Baker London. He’s my fav. I’ve actually had this dress for a year, and I finally cut the tags off for my annual work party. It’s a chance for all of us to get dressed up and have fun for the night.
Body con dresses are one of my favorite cuts, second to the fit and flare. And cobalt blue – definitely one of my favorite colors. The mesh detail at the top gives it just the little detail it needed.
I’ve also had these Michael Kors shoes forever. I tried on a few different pairs, not sure if I wanted to do a leopard print instead. The black won out, obviously. Some silver jewelry – and voila! I was ready to go. Of course I got some makeup eye color suggestions from my cousin because she’s the best makeup artist around 🙂
The weather has been so warm lately, so I was happy to be able to get out a sweater and boots after a 75 degree Christmas! But of course now I’m freezing in 40 degrees. Gotta complain about something, right…ha!
I got this sweater in my Stitch Fix a couple of months ago. My stylist nailed this one! I said I wanted a comfy sweater that was long enough to cover the booty. As soon as I opened the box, I knew I would love it. It is actually a little on the thinner side, so I had to add a long sleeve t-shirt underneath to stay warm. But did you see the little pockets, too? Love.
I have so many workout leggings that I have started wearing them with my day outfits. Why the heck not? They are usually thicker than the typical leggings I find anyway. These lululemon Ebb to Street pants worked perfectly with this outfit!
I continued by addiction to Frye by getting these Vera boots. I already have them in another color…love this style. These are a little stiffer than the other leather that I have, but I know they will be good after a few wears.
Santa was good to me and got me these Lagos earrings and pearl David Yurman bracelet. I tend to like more traditional pieces that can be versatile. These both are going to be in heavy rotation…especially the bracelet that can be layered with so much.
Wrap dresses are perfect for so many reasons, one being they are flattering on so many body types. And who is known for wrap dresses? That’s right, Diane von Furstenberg. DVF wrap dresses have become iconic. I’ve scored a few of her wrap dresses for amazing deals, including this one I got off of Gilt. Warning for the working ladies though…I had to wear a cami under this so the ladies didn’t pop out and once I got to work I actually had to pin the bottom together. When I walked, my leg was flashing a little too much 🙂
I just love this print. Animal print is totally a new neutral! I don’t think one could ever have too much animal print.

Looking back at these pictures, I think I am totally channeling my inner Steel Magnolia huge southern hair! But I’m ok with that because I heart this Ted Baker Laya Peony dress so much. I first had my eye on it a few months back at Bloomies, before they even had it online. It’s seriously like a gorgeous cotton nightgown, it’s that comfortable. And y’all know I love Ted Baker’s prints. The floral pastels mixed with the navy stripes is beautiful. Not necessarily a unique combination, but the placement of the pattern on the dress just drew me in.
And…I’d like to give my baby girl a shoutout today. It’s her 11th birthday! As we were watching old home videos this last weekend, I was watching a sassy 4-year old that loved to be in front of the camera. She’s blossoming into such a wonderful young woman. Caring, passionate, loving…are just a few of her wonderful characteristics. I tell her everyday how much I love her…and I hope she never gets sick of it because I’ll never stop telling her.
I always gravitate towards color. If it’s not super colorful, it has to have some sort of interesting feature to draw me in. And … in comes this DVF dress!
Not only does the front have an awesome abstract-ish star print…
It wraps around and has a completely different pattern on the back!
Love how the back dips into a V as well. Gives it just an added twist to spice up the basic black and white color. And not to digress too much, but can I tell you how I’m loving this weather?! I think I’ve worn pants maybe twice in the last two weeks. I love throwing on a dress or skirt. My legs like to breathe – even though that means I have to shave. Argargargarg 🙂

If y’all have followed my blog, y’all know I have a slight obsession with Ted Baker. For our wedding anniversary, we dressed up and went out to a nice dinner. So…perfect occasion for busting out my Ted Baker skater dress! I scored this at Nordstrom Rack for a whopping $80. Don’t hate. I have a knack for finding awesome deals 🙂
And I’m never afraid of color, so the brighter the better! Add a spray tan…the perfect nude pump….pretty pearls….and voila! The look is complete! I love the fabric of the skater dress – and there are great colors out right now. It has the right amount of stretch, and the fit and flare style is flattering on so many people.

I’ve discovered that I really do hate dress pants. But when you are in the working world, they are an evil necessity. So if I have to buy them, they are at least going to be fun! I bought these last spring at The Limited, and I love the pattern and color!
I thought the pants coordinated well with my new pale pink Ted Baker top. I love when Ted has his sales (look, I sound like I know him like he’s my buddy!)…and I got this a couple of months ago. You may say, “Why has you waited so long to wear it?!” Because I’m a lazy ironer. Since I ordered it online, it came with a million wrinkles. I knew this top couldn’t be ironed. So there it hung in my closet…me willing the wrinkles to just miraculously fall out. Guess what? Uh…they didn’t. In comes my new Conair steamer! It worked like a charm! So I wore this top the first chance I got.
I love mixing patterns and prints, so why not go ahead and throw leopard in there?! It’s my new neutral 🙂
It’s been so dreary and gray in the ATL lately. So, I busted out some pastels to lighten my mood! My uniform lately has been layering a button up with a sweater.
I thought why not add a little sparkle to my uni?! This Stella & Dot Somervell necklace is exactly what this outfit needed. But that wasn’t enough. I need more sparkle (said in my best Christopher Walken voice)!
So I added some beautiful mint drop earrings my momma got me and a Kendra Scott bracelet. I love mint. I’m so happy this color became popular a few years ago and has stayed.
And yes, I added another Tippi sweater to my collection. When they are on sale plus an additional 40% off, it’s hard to resist!
Sweater – J. Crew Tippi; Shirt – Old Navy (old); Jeans – AG Angel Bootcut; Booties – Ash (old); Necklace – Stella & Dot Somervell; Bracelets – Kendra Scott Raegan and Henri Bendel; Earrings – gift, but similar here; Watch – Rolex; Ring – Lagos
I thought I would shop my closet and bust out some pieces I hadn’t worn for a while. Purple is one of my favorites colors – maybe not as much as blue – but I love a good purple and gray combination.
My parents (love them!) got me this Lagos ring for Christmas. It was one of those things that I saw last May on vacation and said “Oh, that would be an awesome Christmas present.” My momma listened. What I love about it, too, is that it fits perfectly. I have ridiculously small fingers, as in my ring finger is a 4.25. It fits like a glove and never slips to the side, especially since I’m typing or using a mouse all day.
So I jumped on the Kendra Scott wagon – and I’m loving my new Rayne necklace. It was hard to figure out what color combination I wanted! But, I did not have a long black and silver necklace, so that’s what I walked out of the store with. Love it!
