This weather has been unreal lately! I’m not complaining about not having to wear a heavy winter coat or gloves or hat or snow boots…BUT…we had an awfully hot summer, so I’m looking forward to wearing sweaters! Mother Nature has been teasing us. But I welcomed the tease to wear this pretty burnt orange cowl neck sweater from The Limited.
I can’t tell you how many great sweaters I have hanging in my closet that are begging to be worn. Luckily this one is slightly thinner, so I won’t burn up in the 65 degree weather. Also love how it is longer so I can wear leggings and not feel like my booty is exposed at work.
I have to give a shout out to these boots. They were one of my first pairs I purchased five years ago. They have been worn countless times…I love their slouch and low heel that makes them so comfortable. Enzo Angiolini did a great job designing these.
This top is like wearing artwork. I immediately gravitated towards it on the Anthro sales rack (I can’t find it online anymore – sorry!). I love clothes that are unique and colorful – and this top is most definitely both of those. With all of these great colors, I knew I had a few ways to style this, the first one being with this orangey J. Crew No. 2 pencil skirt. I have a blue pencil skirt that goes great too, but I like how the orange pulls from the faux belt in the top. I think it just ties it all together.
Happy Monday, everyone!
I love how feminine this dress is. I own maybe one other midi dress, so I was hesitant to try this on. But, you always have to step outside of your fashion box sometimes. I love prints, and this print is bold yet neutral. Does that even make any sense?! 🙂 As soon as I tried this on, felt the wonderful fabric, did a couple of twirls, saw the ridiculous sale price, I decided it needed to come home with me. (Y’all know I’m a sucker for a ridic sale!) Even with a midi, I wanted to keep my legs looking long, so I paired it with a neutral shoe.
Happy Monday, everyone!
In the South, there are a days of the winter where tights are not needed. Yay! So on a mild day, I decided to wear a dress and ditch the tights and just go with boot socks. And I wasn’t even chilly – don’t hate friends back in the Midwest!
This dress caught my eye a few months ago, but I didn’t want to pay full price. So I waited patiently. It was hard because I saw one of my favorite bloggers wear it, and I wanted to run to my nearest Anthro to pick it up. But, I resisted. Patience is a virtue…and pays off. Not only was it on sale, it was also another 25% off (click here).
Y’all know I have a slight obsession with Frye. I got these Carmen Inside Zip boots on sale, and they are quickly becoming my favorites. I love that they have a slight heel. For those of you with normal sized calves like me, they fit great, even with skinny jeans. I don’t buy boots with less than a 15″ shaft circumference.
I also love having little arm parties. My parents gave me this gorgeous Hermes bracelet for Christmas. Before you even say a word, yes, I know my parents have spoiled me and I’m blessed I get to call them MY parents! I used to have my friends ask me “Don’t your parents need one more daughter?!” Nope. They are all mine. Oh wait, is that the only child spoiled brat coming out? 🙂
