For spring break, we ventured on the high seas on the Disney Magic. This was our fourth Disney cruise, so we knew the drill. But I’m sure you can imagine what I love doing most on the cruise? Dressing up each night for dinner! If y’all haven’t noticed if you have followed by blog, I have an obsession with dresses (say it isn’t so!). Cruises are the perfect opportunity to get gussied up.
I’d thought I would put this post together because my other run down of outfits from the last cruises is my number one post of all time. Crazy! So here we go!
First night was cruise casual. It happened to also be Easter Sunday, so I thought this dress was a little Easter mixed with a little Caribbean.
Dress – Lilly Pulitzer (last season); Shoes – Charles by Charles David (old); Bracelet – Henri Bendel; Watch – Rolex; Purse – Louis Vuitton
The second night was formal night. I was so excited to wear this dress again. I first wore it in January to my work’s annual party. But this time was a whole separate look – no tights, no pumps, no necklace, and hair pulled back. It was so interesting seeing what some people thought “formal night” really was. But to each his/her own when it comes to fashion. But I’m pretty sure cargo khaki shorts and a polo shirt aren’t in the category of formal 🙂 Oh…and if you watched the RHOBH reunion show, this is the dress Kim Richards had on!
Dress – Ted Baker Jineen; Bracelets – Henri Bendel; Shoes – Ash (last season); Earrings – via Stitch Fix
On the girl – Dress by Ruby Rox at Von Maur
The next night was cruise casual again, and I couldn’t wait to wear this new Ted Baker Distinguishing Rose dress. I love everything about this dress, especially the tulip hem. It’s all in the details!
Dress – Ted Baker Distinguishing Rose; Bracelet – C. Wonder; Shoes – Charles by Charles David
I’ve had this beauty since the end of last season. I got it on super sale at the kate spade outlet store. I saw it on a blogger last year and fell in love. But, I wasn’t in love with the price tag. Good things come to those who wait! Snatched it up as I knew it would be perfect for cruising!
Dress – kate spade (last season); Bracelet – Spartina; Shoes – yep! Charles by Charles David again!
We dined in the adult-only restaurant, Palo. If you go on a Disney cruise, you must eat here. YOU MUST. (Or if you are on the Dream or Fantasy, here AND Remy’s!) It’s a little fancier, and I had yet another dress that was begging to be worn in my closet. I love the red and pink combo here!
This next night was actually semi-formal night. Well, this wasn’t what I had planned to wear, but it worked out perfectly. I love a good maxi and this one is no exception. I knew when Anthro came out with this beauty it had to be mine (insert villainous laugh here!).
Dress – Anthropologie SB by Sachin and Babi Marisol Maxi Dress; Bracelet – C. Wonder; Shoes – you guessed it…Charles by Charles David
On the girl – dress from Kohl’s IZ Amy Byer
So this pretty much sums up my evening attire. I’m saving my day outfits for separate posts, so you’ll have to come back and visit – or follow the blog! If you noticed, I wore my nude color Charles by Charles David wedges with about 75% of my dresses. I LOVE THESE SHOES! They are from a couple of season ago and need to be replaced, but I haven’t found the perfect pair yet. The leather is so scuffed at the front of the toe…I must drag my toes when I walk sometimes and not realize it.
Just remember when you are trying to figure out what to pack for a cruise: it’s really wear what you want to wear. Although in Palo or Remy, they are pretty strict (I believe guys need a jacket and women a dress, skirt or suit). It’s all about having fun! And my fun was getting dressed up!
Once I typed in that title, immediately in my head I cheered “Blue and gold, hey, beat those Dawgs.” Quick high school cheerleading moment there.
I recently had a Kendra Scott store open close to me, and I see so many bloggers that love her jewelry. So I had to stop in and check it out. It was wonderful! What beautiful designs and so many fantastic colors!
I picked up this Jackie Tie Necklace in gold and started playing with all of the different ways to wear it…with the help of the associate.
So it just had to come home with me. I have to say it a nice weight and I love the beautiful gold shine. The silver one was beautiful too, but I was looking for gold.
Let’s stop and talk a second about this blue cashmere sweater. I’ve never owned cashmere before because, well, the price points always turned me away. But…in walks a 75% off sale at C. Wonder, and I picked this beauty up at a whopping $35. Nope. That’s not a typo. $35. This cobalt blue is my favorite color, and I can see myself wearing this sweater for many years.

One thing I love about Georgia’s winters are you can (most of the time) get away with layering to stay warm without having to wear a jacket. To me, this is fantastic after growing up in Illinois. I find layering a button up and sweater is one of the easiest outfits for me in the late fall and winter.
I’ve been loving C. Wonder lately…as I posted about my great find last week, too. The colors of this sweater just screamed at me at the store. I knew I had a few different ways I could wear it. One being, over a striped button up I have. Pair it with some jeans and booties. And there you have it! Easy peasy!
I had a new C. Wonder store open about 7 minutes from my house. AWE – SOME. Maybe not for my budget. But yeah for my wardrobe and being able to scope out sales on a regular basis!
When I was perusing the racks, I spied a reversible skirt! How awesome is that? I don’t think I own any clothes that are reversible, and if I do, it’s definitely not a skirt.
It has a great plaid on one side – and black on the other. It has a large zipper on the side that is super easy to just unzip…and flip! Voila! A new look!
I love color, so I paired it with this great greenish/yellowish sweater I’ve had forever from Banana Republic. It’s just one of those sweaters that goes with so much! I can’t even count how many times I have worn it.
Skirt – C. Wonder Reversible Wool Wrap Skirt; Shirt – Banana Republic (old); Booties – Vince Camuto (similar here or here); Watch – Michael Kors (similar here); Necklace – The Limited (old); Bracelet – David Yurman
In the south, I’ve seen more monograms than ever before. Not sure why it’s so popular down here, but it just is. I’ve even seen monogram car decals. Yes, you read that right. People actually have monogrammed initials on their back car windows.
Well, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon with this sweater for three reasons – 1. I love C. Wonder 2. I love the pink and navy combo of this sweater and 3. I knew exactly how I would style it. Oh…and if I have to add in a #4, the price was just right!
Now that I think about it, it’s also a little Laverne-esque, don’t you think? She sported the giant L back in the ’70s, so I thought why not sport a big E in the ’10s! I of course had to prep mine up a little with the collared shirt underneath. It’s my thing. 🙂
Sweater – C. Wonder (similar); Shirt – Banana Republic; Jeans – Old Navy; Booties – Tory Burch; Watch – Michael Kors
Do you have any monogrammed clothing items?
I love this top. Why? Well…because I do love a good animal print…and peplum. But I also love pieces that are versatile. We were having a client in at work the other day, and I really loved this top with the camel colored pencil skirt. And to make it a little more “business-y,” I simply added the black blazer. I used to never EVER mix brown and black. I have no idea why I ever had that in my head that it was a fashion no-no. I guess you learn as you grow older.
Are you still loving the peplum trend? I love the peplum on this top. The fabric is thick enough where the peplum really stands out. Some tops I’ve seen that are thin, the peplum is, well, not very “peplum-y.” (Wow, am I making up words today or what?!) I think it has to have that perfect kick and not fall flat.
Here’s how adding the black blazer can change up the look almost instantly!
Top – C. Wonder; Skirt – The Limited; Blazer – Ted Baker; Shoes – Christian Louboutin
My obsession with C. Wonder continues. I picked up this sweater when they were having their friends and family sale. I am drawn to polka dots. Big dots, small dots, colored dots, white dots. I really don’t care. I have loved polka dots, well, forever.
The second I tried this sweater on, I knew I would pair it with this gingham button up I already had in my closet. One thing I do love about this sweater, too, is it is thick enough where you don’t see through to the shirt underneath. Have you noticed lately how some sweaters are so thin?! Drives me crazy.
Here’s how I styled this sweater for work the other day…
Sweater – C. Wonder; Shirt – J. Crew Factory; Jeans – AG; Boots – Frye; Necklace – J. Crew; Watch – Michael Kors
Daisy loves to photobomb me every time I take pictures for the blog. Good thing she’s so darn cute!

I talked a few weeks ago about my new love for C. Wonder. When I saw this dress online, it made me want to go to the store to see what C. Wonder was all about.
I love dresses. It’s embarrassing to admit how many I actually own. But, I’ve been trying to be better about buying dresses that I can wear to work, too, so I get more wear out of them. This dress fit into that category. And it’s the perfect fall dress. It’s a nice sweater material, but light enough to wear even when it was 70 degrees out. It can easily transition to winter with tights and booties.
I thought I would add pops of leopard print, even though I was debating whether or not to just wear my favorite nude heels. But here’s how I wore this dress…
Dress – C. Wonder; Heels – Target (last year); Bracelet – J. Crew; Necklace – Stella & Dot (retired); Earrings – The Limited
Ok, I admit I’m not really into the trend of having graphics on my sweaters…BUT…when I saw this sweater at C. Wonder, I had to get it. Since I have a French Bulldog, I felt it was ok! And Daisy is a spoiled girl, so it’s fitting this Frenchie is wearing a pink crown.
There are a lot of ways you can style this sweater, but I thought I would pull out the pink in the crown by wearing it with my pink jeans. Here’s how it turned out…
Look, Daisy, you’re on my sweater!
As you can tell, she was less than impressed.
Frenchies are everywhere lately. If you are considering adding a Frenchie to your family, I suggest you really research the breed. Are they adorable? Absolutely. Do they snort and snore like a pig? ALL. THE. TIME. Are they full of energy? Yep! Are they easily prone to allergies? Uh huh. I love Daisy more than anything, but sometimes she’s a lot of work. And she’s been kicked out of the hubs and my bedroom because we couldn’t take the snoring anymore! 🙂
Sweater – C. Wonder (no longer online but it is in the store); Jeans and Chambray Shirt – Old Navy; Shoes – Steve Madden; Earrings – Simon Sebaag
I took my lunch break on Friday and headed down to C. Wonder at Lenox Square Mall. Now, I had never shopped in the store, just online.
I could have tried on everything in the store! I did walk away with some great purchases, which I will feature later. But I did want to tell you that their 30% off ends tomorrow. So visit online (or in your nearest store) and check out their great fall merchandise…and their great sale merchandise that is an additional 50% off! When you click on the link, if you sign up for their email list, you get free shipping!
