Feeling Like a Rainbow in a Maxi Dress

“Patience is a virtue.”

This saying was definitely my mantra when it came to waiting for this Sky “Barbor” maxi dress to go on sale at Von Maur! I first spotted it in April. The color. The braid work. The fabric that doesn’t wrinkle. I. Wanted. It.

BUT. I refused to pay almost $200 for it.

So I waited. And waited. And waited.

Then, three weeks ago I walked into Von Maur and it was on sale. Over half off! Retailing for $198, I paid only $85. And, my friends, I got it hemmed for free, since Von Maur does that complimentary. (Oh how I love you, Von Maur!)

I know I’ve only got to wear it once before the end of the summer, but that’s ok. Maxi dresses will be back next year!

  1. That dress looks absolutely amazing on you!

  2. What a beautiful dress with such fun print!

  3. Your style is so pretty and inspirational! I have a question – my haircut is similar to yours yet I can’t get the fullness I want. Can I ask how you style yours? (round brush, flat iron, etc). Thx- great blog 🙂

    • Of course! I use Pureology Root Lift in my hair when it’s wet, use a paddle brush to dry it (in all different directions) and then start to roll brush it when it’s almost all the way dry. You aren’t the only one who has asked so I think I need to do a post about it!
