College Color Day 2013

College football season is almost here. Awwwwww….yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh! In this household, we are Iowa Hawkeye fans. Basically, I bleed black and gold. Both of my parents went to the University of Iowa, so I have no choice but to love the Hawkeyes. But growing up not to far from University of Illinois’s campus was not easy. Back in the day, the rivalry between the schools was pretty intense. But I always love what my dad says, “I went to the real U of I.” Ha!

Now that I live in SEC country, I always smile when I see Big Ten school stickers on peoples’ cars. Last year at my office’s college football kick off, I was the only person in the whole office who had a Big Ten college shirt on. I know, it was a sad day. But I’m happy to report we’ve hired Michigan and Ohio State fans.

Did you know the official College Color Day is this Friday??!! Do you have your gear in order? I have to say I own so much Iowa stuff it’s a little sickening. But…I don’t care. Black and gold goes with everything, right?!

There are so many awesome t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, etc. out there nowadays. One of my favorite brands is Original Retro Brand, followed by Victoria’s Secret PINK. I love having game gear that is cut for women, so you don’t look like you are wearing a box with no shape.

In honor of College Color Day coming up, here are some cute options. And I thought I would combine my love for the Hawkeyes and support my state’s main university 🙂
