J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt

If you followed my last blog, you already know I’m a huge fan of pencil skirts. Being a working woman, I find them to be an essential staple in my working wardrobe. There are just so many different ways to wear them, the possibilities are endless.

Over the years, I have accumulated quite a few J. Crew No. 2 pencil skirts. I would like to mention, too, that I have NEVER paid full price for one either. I’m always gotten them on sale. No matter how much I love fashion and buying new clothes, I just don’t want to spend over $120 on one skirt. I’m sure a lot of you would agree with that statement.

I have found that I always size down in these skirts. I’m either a size 2 or 4. Which let me tell you people, I am never a size 2 in anything (except maybe a few Loft pieces). But the main reason I love these skirts is how well they hold you in. The fabric is nice and thick, so it never shows any trouble spots on your hips and thighs…or booty for that matter. Here are just a few ways I’ve styled my No. 2’s.

The other day, I thought “why not be as bright as I could possibly be?!” I’m kidding, but my the looks I got, I bet that’s what people thought when I put this outfit together. But I’ve never ever shied away from color. Life’s too short to be drab.

  2. I haven’t tried that brand of skirt – that cut fits you perfectly. I esp. like the first image ensemble.
